Sara Lee Corporation to Voluntarily Withdraw Pacific Exchange Listing; Will Retain New York Stock Exchange Listing
Sara Lee Corporation (NYSE: SLE) today announced plans to voluntarily withdraw the listing of its common stock from NYSE Arca, Inc., formerly the Pacific Exchange. Sara Lee’s common stock will continue to be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. Sara Lee has decided to withdraw its listing from NYSE Arca, Inc. to streamline operations and eliminate redundant administrative requirements inherent with dual listings created as a result of the NYSE Group’s recent merger with Archipelago Holdings, the parent company of NYSE Arca. The withdrawal is expected to be effective within the next month. Sara Lee does not believe that withdrawing its listing from NYSE Arca, Inc. will have any impact on the liquidity of its stock. NYSE Arca will continue to trade Sara Lee stock on an unlisted trading privilege basis. Company Profile Sara Lee Corporation (www.saralee.com) is a Chicago-based global manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, brand-name products for consumers throughout the world. As part of its transformation plan, Sara Lee will drive growth in its key categories via such strong brands as Ambi Pur, Ball Park, Douwe Egberts, Hillshire Farm, Jimmy Dean, Kiwi, Sanex, Senseo and its namesake, Sara Lee.
