Sybase iAnywhere Furthers Mobile Web Application Development With New Version of M-Business Anywhere
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- CTIA Wireless I.T. and Entertainment 2006 -- Sybase iAnywhere today announced the availability of the latest release of its award-winning M-Business Anywhere(TM). The solution enables the delivery of Web-based content and applications to mobile devices rapidly and cost-effectively for online and disconnected use. M-Business Anywhere 6.2 new features include support for Microsoft Smartphone devices, VGA screen resolution support, soft key navigation on Windows Mobile Smartphones and Pocket PCs, and the ability to install the M-Business Anywhere client and all synched content and data on an SD (Secure Digital) card, rather than in the device memory.
M-Business Anywhere 6.2 technology is also part of the recently announced Information Anywhere Suite which addresses converging enterprise requirements for mobile e-mail, device management, enterprise-to-edge security and enterprise application enablement.

This enables developers to leverage soft key navigation to easily activate menus on the home screen and within applications, reducing the number of actions required to accomplish common tasks, and -- SD Card Synchronization-M-Business Anywhere 6.2 now enables Palm, Microsoft Smartphone and Pocket PC customers to conserve memory by easily synchronizing information directly to an SD card rather than to the device.
