Telelogic Lifecycle Solutions Recognized as Technology Leaders by Butler Group

Telelogic, Telelogic (Nordic Exchange /MidCap/TLOG) today announced that the company's integrated lifecycle solutions have been deemed industry leading products by Butler Group in its June 2007 Technology Audit reports.

"Once again, Butler Group has recognized Telelogic solutions for their strength and innovation in software and systems development," said Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO, Telelogic. "Our continued high rankings validate Telelogic's commitment to delivering robust lifecycle solutions to our customers worldwide. We are very pleased to mark another year of receiving a highly favorable analysis from Butler Group."

The following excerpts from Butler Group's Technology Audit reports demonstrate the analysts' confidence in Telelogic solutions:

Telelogic Requirements Management Solutions: "Control over project quality" The Butler Group Technology Audit recognizes the longstanding market leadership of Telelogic DOORS(R) and the value of Telelogic's full range of requirements management solutions. It also emphasizes the importance of requirements management to project success.

The report states: "Any organisation that wants to get control over project quality would benefit from reviewing Telelogic's (requirements management) offerings . . .

"Butler Group believes that requirements management is a key part of the development lifecycle, as it enables organisations to 'do the right thing', and make sure that what is developed meets what was needed. All too often project failures can be attributed directly to poor requirements management, and Telelogic's offerings have the ability to ameliorate this, particularly if applied as part of a wider lifecycle approach." Telelogic Synergy(TM) 6.5 and Change(TM) 4.7: "A winning strategy that co-ordinates change and workflow" The Butler Group Technology Audit praises the ease of use and quick adaptability of Telelogic Synergy and Telelogic Change, the company's change and configuration management solutions, as well as the products' ability to drive an organization's change process. The report states:

"(With Synergy and Change) Telelogic has a winning strategy, by providing ready-to-use solutions that have proven success and scalability to co-ordinate change and workflow across the organisation.

"Telelogic addresses CCM thoroughly with its Synergy and Change products, but the real emphasis that Butler Group believes the company now promotes, is the overall change process rather than just the tools. It is this process emphasis that customers will find valuable - although tools must be good and easy-to-use, if they do not have a wider framework to promote their use, they are unlikely to deliver their true value."

In addition, in its July 2007 Software Product Assessment, French industry analyst group Yphise named Telelogic Synergy on its shortlist as one of the most effective solutions for software development management (SDM).

Telelogic System Architect(R): "Should be on an organisation's short list" The Butler Group Technology Audit confirms that System Architect is a modeling solution that is important to the success of Enterprise Architecture initiatives. The report states:

"Anyone wishing to create a business model and subsequent logical and physical representations of the enterprise would benefit from the use of System Architect.

"Butler Group believes it would be unwise to embark on Enterprise Architecture, BPM, or system design without assistance from a modelling tool specifically designed for the purpose. In addition, a central repository is vital to provide a common information source for everyone involved with modeling. Also important is the ability to base the process on a framework and customise the models to fit each organisations own situation. System Architect meets these criteria, making it a tool that should be on an organisation's short list when selecting a modelling tool to document the whole enterprise." Telelogic Focal Point(TM): Value in "interactive decision making process" The Butler Group Technology Audit recognizes Telelogic Focal Point, the company's solution for product management and product portfolio management, for its ability to visualize requirements for more informed decision making. The report states:

"Any organisation that develops software is likely to benefit from Focal Point, but it is likely to be especially relevant to organisations that develop products with an ear to the market.

"Where Focal Point comes into its own is in the dynamic way that the central repository of requirements, benefits, and costings can be interrogated in a very visual manner. Thus, users can interact with the information held within the solution, selecting and de-selecting alternatives to provide the most value for the least potential cost within any particular product version. Butler Group believes that this interactive decision making process will be of great value to clients that would otherwise find it very challenging to ensure that the information about options is not overwhelming."

Model-Driven Development Solutions: "At the forefront" Telelogic Tau and Telelogic Rhapsody are Telelogic's solutions for model-driven development. The Butler Group Technology Audit praises Telelogic as a pioneer in modeling solutions and emphasizes the importance of Telelogic Tau(R) and Telelogic Rhapsody(R) as products vital to the development lifecycle. The report states:

"Telelogic is involved at the forefront of developments in modelling, and its MDD product set - Tau and Rhapsody - cover complex systems applications through to embedded and real-time applications.

"With Tau and Rhapsody, model and code are synchronised in real-time, ensuring that the investment effort in models is exploited throughout the lifecycle, including at the final maintenance and support, live production phase when costs are at their highest.

"In Butler Group's opinion, the MDD offering from Telelogic is one of the most powerful on the market and should be considered by developers wanting to improve quality and reduce time-to-market of large and/or complex software systems and applications."
