Why Rubrik Stock Bounced Almost 9% Higher on Monday

Cybersecurity company Rubrik (NYSE: RBRK) was a standout on the stock market on Monday. Investors piled into its equity, sending the shares up nearly 9% on the day. The company benefited from a general rally in cybersecurity titles, as well as an analyst's rather bullish move before the market open that morning.The rally stems from reactions to the annual (and influential) Black Hat USA cybersecurity conference that concluded late last week. One of the themes of the conference was the growing threat posed by artificial intelligence (AI) agents, which, in the wrong hands, could be highly effective at causing chaos and damage across the cyber world.
