John Walsh, Others Help Teach Kansas City Parents and Tweens How to Stay Safe Online

On Saturday, Oct. 25, Sprint (NYSE:S) will host a free event at the College Basketball Experience to teach safer online behaviors to parents and "tweens (young people aged nine to 15 years old). John Walsh, host of FOXs Americas Most Wanted, will be a featured speaker. Media are encouraged to attend the event.

The event will also feature:

  • The first-hand account of Alicia Kozakiewicz, who was the victim of an online crime at the age of 13
  • Alicias mother, Mary Kozakiewicz, discussing signs parents should look for
  • Tips from experts on what to look for to keep your tweens safe when purchasing a computer or mobile phone

Representatives from the FBI will also be on hand to talk about safer online behaviors. In addition, after the event, the DNA LifePrint Child Safety Team will be on site offering complimentary FBI-certified biometric fingerprinting, a DNA identification kit, a digital photo and a journal to fill with the vital information needed when reporting a missing child.
