For the seventh consecutive year, Chase Card Services [NYSE:JPM] is co-sponsoring the Army Concert Tour, a series of live country and rock concerts that began in May and run through September across the U.S. Spanning country and rock genres, a variety of artists are participating in this year’s tour, including .38 Special and such rock legends as Steve Miller Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cheap Trick and Quiet Riot. Country superstars such as Dierks Bentley, Trace Adkins, Joe Nichols, and Montgomery Gentry also perform. The Army Concert Tour makes stops in several locations across the U.S., including military installations Fort Bragg (NC); Redstone Arsenal (AL); Fort McCoy (WI); Fort Leonard Wood (MO); Fort Benning (GA); Fort Sill (OK); Fort Gordon (GA); and Aberdeen Proving Ground (MD). (See attached schedule for full list of artists, dates and locations.) Concerts are for Soldiers and their families, as well as any and all interested fans. The Chase Card Services sponsorship helps underwrite a portion of the talent costs and enables tickets to be sold at an affordable price. All ticket sales benefit local Army Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) programs for Soldiers. "The tour’s support allows us to continue to offer high-quality MWR programs to service members and their families,” said Corey Henderson, corporate partnership sales manager, Family and MWR Command for the Army. "Sponsors such as Chase contribute to making the tour a success and ensure we can offer the types of services that make a real difference to the men and women who serve our country.” MWR Programs support service members and their families, which include programs related to recreation, family activities, childcare facilities and entertainment. The Army Concert Tour, established in 1994, is produced by the Family and MWR Command Entertainment Division. "We are proud to support our military personnel around the world and show our appreciation through our seventh consecutive sponsorship of the Army Concert Tour,” said Shelley Sanders, senior vice president for Military and Government programs at Chase. "It’s an honor to play a role in creating an event that allows soldiers to have fun with family and friends, while benefiting valuable MWR programs.” At the concerts, Chase offers the opportunity to civilians to apply for the Flag and Eagle MasterCard. Any eligible active duty or retired military personnel may apply for the Army MWR MasterCard. Chase provides incentives to apply, such as patriotic t-shirts and American Flag "We Support Our Troops” fleece blankets.
