Clear Channel Radio and Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) todayannounced a first-of-its-kind national radio campaign supporting thefall season premieres of hit television series PRISON BREAK, HOUSE andTHE SIMPSONS. The campaign is the first to use "blinks" -- theshortest-length radio spots available.

Conceived by, and running exclusively on, 1100 Clear Channel Radiostations, "blinks" now move from hot advertising concepts to reality.The first "blinks" -- running every hour from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. --support tonight's premiere of PRISON BREAK. Next up will be "blinks"for the HOUSE premiere on September 5th and THE SIMPSONS premiere onSeptember 10th.

The FOX spots combine theme music and acerbic remarks fromcharacters to remind loyal fans to tune in, and to attract new viewersthrough humorous copy. The "blinks" created for each FOX premiere werea collaborative effort between Clear Channel Radio's Creative ServicesGroup and Fox Broadcasting's radio promotion team.

Clear Channel Radio created the astonishingly short ads as toolsfor established brands to both reinforce their identity as well ascreate a fresh way to communicate with their most loyal customers. Theultra-short spots are most effectively used in combination with otherlength spots.

Breaking New Ground Again

FOX and Clear Channel Radio previously collaborated on radioadvertising for FOX's popular series, 24. FOX stepped up to become oneof the first advertisers last year to use hourly 30-second radio spotsover a 24-hour period, which featured a countdown for the seasonpremiere episode of "24".
