Mark Albers Elected Senior Vice President of Exxon Mobil Corporation

Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced today that the company's board of directors has elected Mr. M. W. (Mark) Albers as senior vice president of the corporation effective April 1, 2007. Mr. Albers, 50, currently president, ExxonMobil Development Company, will be a member of the corporation's Management Committee and assume certain responsibilities for the upstream businesses. Throughout his career, Mr. Albers has held a variety of managerial positions in development, operations, production and engineering. He joined the company in 1979. After several assignments in Texas and New Jersey, in 1991 he was transferred to Esso Australia in Melbourne as technical manager and later became operations manager. He later held positions as Alaska interests manager and production manager for the Western U.S. In 2001, Mr. Albers became vice president, Africa, Chad/Nigeria for ExxonMobil Development Company in Houston, and he served as executive assistant to the chairman and the president of Exxon Mobil Corporation at headquarters in Irving, Texas, prior to becoming president of ExxonMobil Development Company in October 2004. Born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and raised in Texas, Mr. Albers holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas A & M University. Mr. Albers is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the Institution of Engineers Australia, the CEO Forum, and serves on the Texas A & M Engineering Advisory Council. Concurrent with Mr. Albers election, the board of directors of ExxonMobil Development Company (EMDC) has elected Mr. N. W. (Neil) Duffin, executive vice president, EMDC, to succeed Mr. Albers as president of EMDC, effective April 1, 2007. Mr. Duffin, also 50, joined Mobil Oil Company in the North Sea, UK, in 1979 and has held a variety of managerial positions in production, operations and development. In 1992, he was named producing advisor for Europe and Africa based in Fairfax, Virginia. In 1995, he transferred to Aberdeen, Scotland, as operations and northern North Sea manager, and in 1998, he was named senior vice president, Mobil Oil Indonesia, with responsibility for exploration and producing operations throughout the country. After the merger, Mr. Duffin became vice president, ExxonMobil Development Company, with responsibility for projects in Russia/Caspian Sea and the Middle East. He became vice president, Africa, of ExxonMobil Production Company in June 2004, with responsibilities for the West Africa countries. He was appointed executive vice president of ExxonMobil Development Company in August 2006. Mr. Duffin was born in St. Andrews, Scotland, UK. He is a graduate of Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
