Monster to Hold More Than 275 Job Fairs Nationwide in 2007
Monster®, the leading global online careers and recruitment resource and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NASDAQ: MNST), today announced a strategic relationship with National Career Fairs, one of the largest producers of recruiting events in the U.S. Beginning in early 2007, the companies will launch "Monster Job Fairs powered by National Career Fairs,” a program that will bring more than 275 career fairs to 76 cities across the country. This initiative will allow employers to balance their online approach to recruiting qualified candidates with high-touch methods to strengthen their recruiting pipelines. Providing the opportunity to meet candidates face-to-face in one location can reduce the time, effort and cost of recruiting, and reach candidates who may not use online resources to find their next job. Job fairs effectively facilitate face time with high-quality candidates, and also serve to extend an employer's brand. In addition, Monster Job Fairs will offer an even more personalized experience for job seekers who prefer to directly interact with employers in their local markets. "Providing employers and job seekers with effective, relevant opportunities is becoming increasingly important as the labor market continues to tighten in many industries,” said Diana Nicholson, senior vice president of consumer products for Monster. "Monster continues to fuel its local market strategy with strategic alliances to offer consumers and employers even more personal services in the communities where they live and work. We are excited to collaborate with National Career Fairs and look forward to delivering top notch events that will lead to effective matches between local candidates and the companies looking to hire them.” "Aligning with Monster brings together two industry leaders poised to provide employers and job seekers with unprecedented service and experience,” said Scott Lobenberg, president and founder of National Career Fairs. "Since our inception just five years ago, we have helped thousands of job seekers and employers meet face-to-face at first-class recruiting events by facilitating access to the ‘hidden’ job market as well as the thousands of qualified and motivated candidates who may be employed, but anxious to change careers or find a new, better job.” Additional information, including an event calendar, pricing and registration details, is available at http://content.monster.com/job-fairs.
