General Dynamics Awarded $20 Million Contract for Professional Support Services by U.S. National Guard Bureau

FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The U.S. National Guard Bureau has awarded General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics , a multiple award Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) for a wide range of professional support services across all National Guard divisions. The total potential value of the BPA, if all options are exercised, is $20 million over a five-year period of performance.

"With the award of this contract, General Dynamics Information Technology will continue supporting the U.S. National Guard Bureau's critical missions, at home and around the world, with a staff of experienced and dedicated professionals," said Zannie Smith, senior vice president, Army Support Services, General Dynamics Information Technology.

Under this BPA General Dynamics Information Technology will provide professional support in the areas of: civilian and military personnel operations, force modernization and planning, safety advisory, logistics management, budget tracking and financial management, financial and requirements planning, chaplain family readiness, well-being support operations, chaplain services, family readiness support, medical operations, strategic planning, training, military advisory and policy development.

The BPA was awarded in the name of Anteon, which was acquired by General Dynamics in June 2006.
